Thai Mango Sticky Rice

Difficulty level: Easy 

Ingredients:

  • 1 mango

  • 1 cup of glutinous rice

  • 1 can of coconut milk

  • 1/3 cup sugar

Instructions:

  • Using a rice cooker pot, soak 1 cup of glutinous rice in water for at least an hour and then drain it

  • Fill with water up to the line that says “1 cup”

  • Cook rice in the rice cooker as usual

  • To prepare the sweet coconut milk sauce, heat up the coconut milk into a pot and add 1/3 cup sugar. Mix together until the sugar is dissolved.

  • Peel the mango and slice into pieces

  • Once the sticky rice is cooked, pour 1/3 cup of the sweet coconut milk and mix together

  • To serve, place sticky rice into individual bowls, pour some sweet coconut milk over the rice and top with mango pieces
